Dr I.F. Ijagbone hails from Edo Sate and was born in Sept. 1956 in Lagos . He had his secondary education at Edo College , Benin City. He attended the LTTS, University of Ibadan from 1972-75 where he obtained the Parts I & II City & Guilds of London in 1973 and 1975 respectively in Institute of Science Laboratory Technology . He later proceeded to Paddington College to undertake part III and the Full Technological Certificate in 1992. He first registered as AIST with IST London in 1976 and then with NIST in1977. He became a Fellow in 1984. Dr Ijagbone started laboratory career as laboratory assistant in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1975, appointed Technologist II in 1976 and rose through the file to Chief Technologist in 1998. His academic qualifications include:

Cert. in Immunology ( London )
MSc (Parasitology), MSc (Epizootiology) and PhD all of the University of Ibadan

He is currently a Seniour Lecturer in the Dept. of Vet. Public Health and Preventive Medicine, University of Ibadan , which he combines with his Registrar responsibilty

He was elected Registrar of the Institute (Part-time) in 1994 and it is during his service, that the Institute transformed to the present enviable position of national and international recognition.

He is happily married with three children

Mr. Joseph Lalai. Musa, a native of Borno State , was born in May 5, 1949. He had his secondary education at Government Secondary school Maiduguri . He attended Ahmadu Bello University , Zaria from 1972-1973 where he obtained Part I City & Guilds in Biological Science Technology. He proceeded to Westminister College, Paddington, United Kingdom where he obtained Part II and III City & Guilds and Full Technology Certificate from 1977-1979. Mr. J. L. Musa has PGD in Management and MBA from University of Maiduguri , Borno State . He is a Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology and also a Member of Institute of Science Technology, London .

He started his career as a Senior Assistant Technologist at the Department of biological Sciences, University of Maiduguri in 1975 and rose through the file to Chief Technologist in 1988. He was appointed an Assistant Registrar/Director at the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology, National Secretariat, Ibadan in 2005.

He is happily married with five children.

Mr. Jackson Ihechukwumere Osu hails from Abia State , Nigeria . He was born on the 3rd of August 1963 in Umuahia, Abia State . He had his secondary education at Oboro Secondary School , Ikwuano where he obtained West African School Certificate in 1979. He attended the laboratory technology training school of the University of Ibadan between 1982 and 1987 where he obtained the Final Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology in the area of Microbiology/Virology. Subsequently, he registered as a full member (MISLT) with the Institute of Science Technology London in 1988 and later with Nigerian Institute of Science Technology in 1996. He became a fellow of the Institute in 2005.

Mr. Osu was appointed a laboratory assistant in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ibadan (where he started his technological career) in 1982, and a Technologist II in 1992 from where he rose to the position of Principal Technologist.

Mr. Osu holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), Teaching of Biology, Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial, Organisational and Personal Psychology of the University of Ibadan. Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Physiological and Comparative Psychology and presently a Ph.D research student in Physiological and Psycholodio Pharmacology of the University of Ibadan.

He was appointed Assistant Registrar/Director of Education, Membership and Examination in the Institute in 2005. He is happily married with two children.

Mr. Sunmonu Oladike Folorunsho was born on 29th July 1958 at Ikaram-Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria. He had his secondary school education at Christi High School , Oleyo, Ibadan from 1972-1977. He attended the Federal Polytechnic Akure (now at Ado-Ekiti) from 1978-1982 where he obtained HND in Science Laboratory Technology (Physics with Electronics option). He also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science (PGDCS) in 1995, Post Graduate Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (PGDEEE) in 1997 and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1999, all from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

He is Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (FISLT) and Member Institute of Science Technology (MIScT), London and has contributed immensely to both Institutes in many capacities. He has attended several workshops and conferences both within and outside Nigeria .

In 1977, Mr. Sunmonu started his career as a Laboratory Attendant at the then Nematology Department, National Cereal Research Institute (NCRI), Ibadan before proceeding to the polytechnic. After his HND in Science Laboratory Technology in 1982, he had a brief teaching experience as a teacher of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at Girls Secondary School Imezi-Owa, Enugu State , 1982-1983 NYSC programme and Odo-Ona High School , Ibadan , 1983-1985. He joined the Federal University of Technology in 1985 and rose through the ranks to the peak of his career. He was the Head of the Equipment Maintenance Centre, Federal University of Technology Akure before his present appointment.
