Yemi Hezekiah Gbadegesin hails from Otu, Itesiwaju LGA of Oyo State and is married with Children.  He attended Olabisi Onabanjo University between 2006 and 2009 for MSc programme; Lagos State University Ojoo Lagos 2001 for PGD; The Polytechnic Ibadan, Ibadan 1986-1992 and Baptist Grammar School, Otu 1980-1985. He has M.Sc. Medical Microbiology, PGD Medical Microbiology, HND Microbiology, OND SLT, and Fellow NISLT.

He was bestowed with the Presidential NYSC Award in 1992/93 Service Year when he served meritoriously at the School of Nursing Ikot Ekpene Akwa Ibom State. He was an employee of the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja where he rose to the level of Chief Laboratory Scientist before joining the service of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology as an Assistant Registrar/Director Education Training and Inspectorate in January 2015 through advertisement by the Governing Council. He has attended several international and local seminars and conferences.

Before his appointment, his contributions as a professional member to Institute includes as a Consultant for the Development of Science Laboratory Policy and as a Resource Person in Science Laboratory Technology Conferences and Seminar/ Short term training programmes.

He has been appointed as the DG/Registrar of the Institute by the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation effective from July 1st, 2017.  After a sterling performance as DG/Registrar/CEO in his first tenure (Completed Prototype of model science laboratories (already approved by NCST 2018), Completed the review of SLT curricula  and submitted to NUC and NBTE, Finalized and submitted through his staff minimum standards requirements for Institutional Science Laboratories in Nigeria to Federal Ministry of Education (FME). Developed and published Science Laboratory Policy, Completed the assessment of Universities offering SLT degree programmes to ensure best laboratory practice in Nigeria, Completed the training of Science Teachers for International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) Competition (FMST program), Completed review of the laboratory standards for Post Basic Education Institutions to enhance quality education in the Country Upgraded the MPSL with new equipment, added reagents and equipment from level I to II, Completed the Renovation of the Institute’s office at Jabi, Completed the maintenance and rehabilitation of infrastructural facilities with provision of access and internal road (700m) at Ibadan secretariat with asphalt, Completed Internal Road and Drainage construction at Abuja Office, Completed IJSO laboratory Building in Abuja, Initiated the establishment of 3 Zonal Offices, Initiated the construction of 1000 capacity conference hall at NISLT Abuja Office and the construction is ongoing, We have completed the perimeter fence, and solar inverters installation (all offices) at Ibadan office and Solar Street lightening installation at Ibadan office, Completed Construction of Science Laboratory at Isu, Onichia LGA Ebonyi State:  Purchase 4 operational vehicles (Innosson Jeep (in 2017), Toyota PRADO 2019 model (in 2019), Camry (in 2017) and Toyota Corolla 2019 Model (in 2019) and Establishment of Monitoring and Evaluation Task Team among others ),  he was re-appointed for a second term effective July 1^st 2021. He is Happily Married with Children.

Pius Patrick IKOKOH hails from Iviari-Otaokwi, Agenebode in Estako East Local Government of Edo state. He holds an Intermediate and final Diploma in Laboratory Technology, the University of Ibadan; PGD, and M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry from  Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He is a fellow of the Institute (FNISLT).

He has varied overseas training on the uses and maintenance of GC-MS, FTIR UV/VIS, HPLC, and X-ray diffractometer. He has worked with the Sheda Science & Technology Complex, (SHESTCO) since 1998 and rose through the ranks to become Chief Technologist in the Chemistry Advanced Research Center.

He has to his credit twenty-four (24) published articles in both national and international journals of repute. His research forte is in the area of pure and applied chemistry and has contributed very significantly to the knowledge in this area. He is the current ASLTON Chairman FCT, Abuja.

He was appointed, Director of Planning Research and Development and Laboratory Services in April 2019

He is married with children.
