Becoming a NISLT Member
You can become a member of NISLT either as a graduate of SLT or a student of SLT.
- If you are still a student of SLT, you have to apply through your institution, so ask your school about it. You cannot as an individual by yourself on our website. It is your institution that must apply on your behalf.
- If you are a graduate of SLT, you can apply by yourself on our website. You are in the right place. However, you are either eligible for corporate membership or non-corporate membership, as explained on our About Membership page. You could open the page to read more.
- You are eligible for non-corporate membership as an ordinary member if you have one of the following qualifications:
- NISLT Intermediate Diploma
- NISLT ND
- Polytechnic ND in Science Laboratory Technology
- The process for non-corporate membership as an ordinary member is as follows:
- Filling the eligibility form to get a Reference Number
- Pay for the membership fees and other statutory payments with your reference number
- Complete the Membership form which is a long one with several stages
- Await Approval from the NISLT, after you submit your completed membership form.
- You are eligible for corporate membership as an associate member if you have one of the following qualifications:
- B.Sc in Science Laboratory Technology
- B.Tech in Science Laboratory Technology
- Polytechnic HND in Science Laboratory Technology
- University Final Diploma
- The process for corporate membership as an associate member is as follows:
- Filling the eligibility form to get a Examination Number
- Pay for the Mandatory Professional Examination (MPE)
- Complete the MPE Form
- Register for the Module 1 exam whenever it is available
- Sit and Pass all the papers in the Module 1 exam, otherwise you pay for the Resit and pass the failed paper(s)
- When all papers in module 1 exams are pass, register and pay for Module 2 exam whenever it is available
- Sit and Pass all the papers in the Module 2 exam, otherwise you pay for the Resit and pass the failed paper(s)
- When all papers in Module 1 and 2 are passed, Pay the membership fees and other statutory payments with your examination number
- Complete the Membership form which is a long one with several stages
- Await Approval from the NISLT, after you submit your completed membership form.
- You are eligible for non-corporate membership as an ordinary member if you have one of the following qualifications:
