This is to inform the general public that the Governing Council of Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology had since approved the reinstatement of Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State as one of the accredited Universities running Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) programme in Nigeria. The approval was based on the recommendation of the team visited the Institution on March 2, 2021 led by the then Council Chairman, Mr. Charles Obaseki.

On the other hand, the Governing Council had also approved the deregistration of Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna State as one of the Polytechnics running Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) programme in Nigeria at its meeting of September 9, 2020. This was as a result of failure of the Polytechnic to fulfill all the requirements for offering SLT in Nigerian Polytechnics/Colleges of Technology. Thus students seeking to pursue career in SLT are strongly advised against studying the course at Kaduna Polytechnic until they meet all the requirements set by the Institute as the Professional body.
