This is to inform all Deans/HODs of Science Laboratory Technology Department/Faculty/School in all approved Institutions running SLT in Nigeria that Professional License is now required for SLT graduates prior to their NYSC Mobilization. This was sequel to an administrative meeting held between NISLT and NYSC in compliance with the communique issued at the end of a one-day meeting of NYSC officials and representatives of all Professional bodies in Nigeria

This policy was approved on Thursday, June 27, 2024, during a meeting between the Director-General (DG), NISLT and the Management of NYSC led by DG, Brig Gen Y. D. Ahmed.

All SLT graduates are therefore enjoined to obtain their License before proceeding to NYSC orientation camps.
