The Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) successfully conducted the first module of the 2025 Fellowship Examination at its headquarters. The examination comprised three core components: Advanced Research Methodology, Advanced General Laboratory Techniques, and Advanced Statistics.

UNIPORT Holds 11th Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony for 2022/2023 SLT Graduates

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the University of Port Harcourt’s School of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) held its 11th Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony for the 2022/2023 graduates at the Auditorium of the CBN Centre of Excellence, UniPark. The event, marked by celebration, reflection, and professional affirmation, was attended by distinguished guests, university and NISLT officials, academic staff, graduates, families, and well-wishers.

NISLT Concludes Intensive Training on Water Quality Testing and Treatment Techniques in Ibadan

From July 14 to 18, 2025, NISLT conducted a five-day training workshop on Water Quality Testing and Treatment Techniques at its training facility in Samonda, Ibadan. The capacity-building program engaged 28 participants, including scientists, technologists, instructors, quality control officers, and lecturers from higher institutions. Expert-led sessions covered water quality standards, physicochemical and microbiological testing, heavy metal detection, membrane filtration, wastewater recycling, and innovative treatment methods such as UV sterilization and chlorination. Participants gained hands-on skills through theoretical and practical sessions, sharing field experiences.

NISLT Organizes Leadership and Change Management Training for Staff

To enhance organizational efficiency and prepare its workforce for future challenges, NISLT conducted a one-day intensive training on Leadership and Change Management for its staff. The session was facilitated by the Overseeing Director-General, Dr. Peter Adefisoye Oluwafisoye, FISLT, who also served as the lead lecturer.

On Friday, July 25, 2025, the Overseeing Director-General of NISLT, Dr. Peter Adefisoye Oluwafisoye, FISLT, paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST), Mrs. Esuabana Nko-Asanye, to seek stronger institutional support.
